Looking for some adrenalin filled action these school holidays? Well look no further than Wild Buggy! A super fun adventure driving with purpose built all terrain buggy’s that have mega suspension making for lots of bumps and splashes and fun!
Wild Buggy is located on Boundary Rd in Heatherton, an easy 20 min drive from Frankston (right next to Costco). A quick read of their website pretty much sums up what you can expect from your driving experience – “Have you ever wanted to drive over rough terrain? Through water obstacles? Drive over the tops of cars like a monster trucks? Get airborne over jumps? Climb hills like a 4WD? Over old wooden logs, rocks and tyres? Through crazy tunnels?” – Ummmm Yes!
On arrival we were given a safety briefing before being fitted with hair nets and helmets – safety first! Then we were shown to our buggy’s! Each buggy comes with a qualified instructor to sit with you and guide you around the course, and, if you’re underage or unlicensed like our kids were, the vehicle is equipped with dual controls so you can still experience the feeling of driving around while your instructor is safely assisting!
NEW – Wild Buggy has recently introduced that parents or guardians (as long as they are a licensed driver 18+) can now drive the kids too! This is great for those parents who are keen to drive their kids – personally, I liked going with the instructor as they’re the experts and know how to get the most out of the track!
You can choose from a 5, 8 or 12 lap packages when you pre book your session time. We did 5 laps which was plenty of time to experience the track and get a full whack of adventure thrill! If you are after a little more though, I would recommend booking 8 laps as the more laps you do the more your confidence increases to push the boundaries on the corners and jumps.
Wild Buggy is the driving course only, no extra activities are located onsite so if you’re looking for a full day of adventure then I would recommend starting here and going else where afterwards (the Moorabbin Air Museum is only five minutes away, as is Costco and DFO!).
Wild Buggy also has kids birthday party bookings available which would be super fun for tweens – it would also make a great activity for a hens/bucks day or a corporate team building afternoon!
Lenny’s Review – It was very cool. I liked it very much. There was lots of cool obstacles and it was very bumpy. I loved going sideways and through the water making a big splash! I give Wild Buggy 10/10.
Thanks for having us Wild Buggy! I’m pretty sure our little adrenaline seekers will be back!
