Hey hey! Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who has journeyed with us for the past nine months! What a fun nine months it has been! Mama loves to share officially launched in December 2015 but it was definitely many, many years in the making!
We are Lisa and Helen – two mums who have known each other since high school and have grown to be the type of friends that don’t hold back when it comes to telling each other how it is.
We have journeyed through many of life’s exciting milestones together including marriage, being pregnant, birthing our babes, turning 30 and enjoying (enduring!) motherhood.
Mama loves to share was an idea we first floated about via phone calls and text messages as we enjoyed our first year of maternity leave together. The blog eventually came to fruition when we decided to bite the bullet and start publishing exactly what we were talking about on a daily basis in the hope others may also find the same things we loved interesting!
Lisa is a journalist, freelance writer and most importantly, a mum to two gorgeous little girls, Annabelle (5) and Penny (2). She’s a super loud social butterfly, health food fanatic, sleep nazi, family focused, busy, organised chaos maker who often has 50 things on the go at once but that’s just the way she likes it!
Helen is an event manager and has worked in the industry for the past nine years. An organised lover of lists, social media guru, cupcake baker, home décor junky, cricket widow and ever the optimist, she’s a fun loving and playful mum to Lenny (5) and Stella (2) with baby number three due December 2016.
Mama loves to share is an extension of us; it’s the places we love to go, the food we love to eat, the things we love to buy, the women who inspire us by making us want to kick arse in life and the joys and jokes we experience through motherhood.
So thank you for stopping by! We love women (and men!) supporting other women. We hope you love reading Mama loves to share as much as we love writing it and we look forward to continuing to share our favourite things with you as we continue to learn, love, grow and live life with our cheeky broods.
Lisa and Helen xoxo
