Mmmmmm…OATS…for dessert?! There’s so many ways you can do oats! Brekky, a snack and even dessert! This little bowl of yummy goodness is so quick and easy! Based on a recipe from friend of Mama loves to share, Langwarrin local and mum-to-be Sara. We’ve added a few of our own touches and it’s come up a treat! Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS (serves two)
1 x cup of rolled oats
1 x cup of coconut/almond milk (can do 1/2 coconut water)
1/4 cup of chia seeds
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1/4 cup of coconut (shredded or desiccated)
1/4 cup of blueberries
10 x almonds chopped (optional)
Place all the ingredients into a bowl, mix together then pop into the fridge for 15 mins to set chia seeds….Voila! That’s it!
The result is an oaty pudding delight! Or you can leave in the fridge overnight and eat for brekky in the morn!
TIP – Add some tasty extras like grated apple, yoghurt, smashed raspberries or strawberries, the possibilities are “O so Oatful”!
