MAMA LOVES – THE JUICE LAB’S PRESSED JUICE
I absolutely love a yummy, veggie and fruit packed juice (especially on Sundays if I’ve had a few drinks the night before and need a quick nutrient boost!) but since I cut down on my sugar intake I haven’t touched juice at all, which has been a massive shame. It’s one of the things I have missed the most (besides chocolate). Until now.
I decided to search for a juice that was filled with a whole bunch of different kinds of produce but was reletively low in sugar and free of nasties, just for those days when I feel like treating myself (and especially when my mouth is dry and I’m dehydrated from being hungover). After all, I am only human and Lord knows I deserve a treat every now and again (we will just pretend I didn’t have a piece of that moist chocolate mud cake at a birthday last night).
Anyway, so when I stumbled across this new range of pressed juice from The Juice Lab and read there was about a quarter of the amount of sugar normally found in a lot of other juices I was extremely excited to say the least!
There is still about five or six teaspoons of natural sugar in each bottle though, but regardless of that they claim to have no added sugar, are made in Australia, stacked with nutritious ingredients, have no fruit concentrates, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and above all, they are super duper DELISH and fit nicely in my handbag.
There are five flavours in the pressed juice range; Gimme Green, Love Potion, Green Light, Rise and Shine and Liquid Gold.
Just to show you an example here are the ingredients for Gimme Green (which Penny decided she wanted some huge sips of while I was enjoying it – nothing is sacred, DAMN IT! Even green coloured juice!);
INGREDIENTS: Goulburn Valley Pear Juice (62.4%), Pink Lady Apple Juice (21.6%), Banana Puree (6.3%), Cucumber (5.3%), Spinach Puree (2%), Kale Puree (1.8%), Lemon Juice, Chlorophyll, Cayenne Pepper (0.1%), Vitamin C.
So where do you find these little bottles of goodness? At Coles and Woolies, Yay! Have a try and let us know what you think.
