The MLTS boys had an “awesome time” at Wild Buggy! Located in Heatherton, about a 20 minute drive from Frankston (right next to Costco), Wild Buggy is an adventure driving park where you get to drive around in really cool camo painted buggy’s equipment with super suspension over many different terrains!
To be honest, I hadn’t heard of Wild Buggy before they got in contact with us so I immediately checked out their website and loved what I was reading! “Have you ever wanted to drive over rough terrain? Through water obstacles? Drive over the tops of cars like a monster trucks? Get airborne over jumps? Climb hills like a 4WD? Over old wooden logs, rocks and tyres? Through crazy tunnels?” – Ummmm Yes! Well, not me as such, but I knew this would be the perfect activity for the boys to try while Stella, Hazel and I cheered them on from the side lines (note – it’s not just for boys! But the girls in our family are a bit young at the moment!).
On arrival the boys were given a safety briefing then they were fitted with hair nets and helmets before being shown to their buggy’s! Now don’t worry! Lenny was not in control of a buggy by himself! Each buggy comes with a qualified instructor to sit with you and guide you around the course, and, if you’re underage or unlicensed like Lenny is, the vehicle is equipped with dual controls so you can still experience the feeling of driving around while your instructor is safely assisting!
You can choose from a 10, 15 or 20 minute drive when you pre book your session time, the boys did 15 minutes and Hubby said this was plenty of time to experience the track and get a full whack of adventure thrill! With no power steering, I think they were starting to feel a little tired by the end of the 15 minutes.
Wild Buggy is the driving course only, no extra activities are located onsite so if you’re looking for a full day of adventure then I would recommend starting here and going else where afterwards (the Moorabbin Air Museum is only five minutes away, as is Costco and DFO!).
Wild Buggy has kids birthday party bookings available and we also think this would be a great activity for a hens/bucks day or a corporate team building afternoon!
Lenny’s Review – It was very cool. I liked it very much. There was lots of cool obstacles and it was very bumpy. I loved going sideways and through the water making a big splash! I give Wild Buggy 10/10.
Thanks for having us Wild Buggy! I’m pretty sure our little adrenaline seeker will be back and his little sister has already asked if she can have a go when she’s old enough!
