Um… how is it already the second week of December? By now you’ve probably written your Christmas list, checked it twice but not actually ticked much off it, right? Yep, we know the feeling! It’s a super busy and stressful time of the year, which is why we don’t make things too complicated here at Mama loves to share, because, quite frankly, we no longer have the time or the brain capacity to do so (#babybrain!).
So, when it comes to Christmas shopping, it needs to be well organised, quick and productive, therefore, we like to smash it out as quickly as we can, in one day and in the one place. Our shopping destination of choice? Bayside Centre, Frankston. It has absolutely everything we need under the one roof allowing us to get the presents sorted and still have time for lunch plus a sneaky coffee or two!
We needed to get some of the kids stocking fillers out of the way, and of course any parent knows the very sight of anything Smiggle gets a squeal of delight from the kids. Whether it’s a beautifully bright coloured pencil case, a diary, the latest pen craze, a key ring, a backpack or now, even jewellery, you’re the “best mum ever!” if you give them anything from Smiggle! Santa is so not getting the credit for buying anything from this shop thank you very much!
Smiggle is located on the Ground Floor (near Coles).
With the latest games from Nintendo, Pokemon, Marvel and Star Wars as well as board games, computer accessories and heaps of other paraphernalia, Zing is the perfect store for kids that love pop culture, gadgets, technology and collectables. This is also a fantastic store for Kris Kringle presents as there’s heaps of quirky and fun things to buy.
Zing Pop Culture is located on the Ground Floor (near Myer).
You can’t walk past this store without stopping for a wiff of their amazing candles! Dusk has a beautiful range of scented candles, unscented candles, candle holders, home decor and gifts. Many of their scents are sourced from the world’s oldest perfume houses in France, renowned for their superiority since the 17th century. What we love most about Dusk is their great range of prices, the perfect shop for teachers, Kris Kringles, mum, aunty or Nana.

Ok, so T2 is probably the last shop we want to walk through if we’ve got the kids with us, (insert scared face here!) but if you’re shopping without the little bulls, it is a divine haven to shop for a gift for mum, aunts, sisters, cousins, or anyone you know who appreciates drinking tea (or coffee) from a gorgeously designed tea cup or teapot!
T2 is located in the Ground Floor (opposite the food court, so after we were done here, it was time for lunch!)
The newly refurbished Australian Geographic store is the perfect pick to find a gift for Dad, the father-in-law, brothers, uncles and cousins. Here you will find anything from telescopes and drones, to wooden yard games, books, maps and educational toys. It’s got a heap of cool and fun ideas for KK presents too or interesting stocking fillers for people of all ages, girls and boys.
Australian Geographic is located on Level 1.
Next up, time to get a gift for the Hubby. Every year he says “don’t bother buying me anything”. Yeah yeah, as if! Santa comes to everyone, not just the kids buddy! You can’t go wrong for a pressie from Peninsula Surf with the latest surf wear, footwear, sunnies, watches, hardware and accessories from all the leading brands. We love Peninsula Surf, which is Frankston’s original surf store since 1974, for our dad’s too!
Peninsula Surf is located on the Ground Floor (near Myer)
Who doesn’t love getting stationary, some glitter alphabet letters or a funny mug for Christmas? Perfect for a friend, work colleague, neighbour or fave teacher, Typo is perfect for Kris Kringle, stocking fillers or little appreciation gifts. It’s pretty hard to walk out of there without buying a hamburger pen or a funky shower radio!
Typo is located on Level 1 (near Target).
