Remember chocolate crackels? Growing up in the 90’s you were always guaranteed two things at a party (well three if you include fairy bread!) chocolate crackles and cornflake honey joys!
Well, this chocolate crunch recipe is similar to the old chocolate crackles however it’s a slice instead of individual cakes and it doesn’t have that nasty white copha set on the bottom which can happen with crackles if they are not made properly!
3 x tbls golden syrup
1 x tbls cocoa powder
3 x tbls dried milk
3 x cups rice bubbles
1. Put all the ingredients (except the rice bubbles) in a saucepan heat gently until melted, remove from heat and stir in the rice bubbles.
2. Put the mixture into a lined cake tin and press down with the back of a metal spoon.
3. Put in the fridge to set (needs approx an hour)
And viola! Done! So quick and easy! Perfect to make for a child’s birthday party or as a little lunch box treat!
TIP: Decorate with your favourite sprinkles, mini M&Ms or crunchie ice cream topping sprinkles! Yum!
